Day 1
Arrival to Tromso Airport and group transfer (max. 6 participants) to the accommodation on Senja island. Depending on your arrival time and weather conditions we do some sightseeing on the way to our accommodation, to give you the most out of your stay in the Arctic.
Day 2 - 6
Five days of guided ski touring fun trips in the mountains of Senja overviewing the breathtaking fjords. The camp is designed for intermediate to expert skiers.
In alternative or willing a break from skiing we can organise husky tour or a sightseeing tour around the island. Nearby our accommodation you can also enjoy x-country skiing trails.
In the evening (during camps until end of March) we hunt for aurora to make you experience this unforgettable natural phenomenon.
Day 7
Transfer to Tromso airport with some sightseeing on the way (depending on your departure flight schedule).
What’s included:
- Transfer from / to Tromso airport made with 4x4 vehicle equipped for your safety and comfort of driving in arctic winter conditions with studded tires
- Transfers to / from ski touring excursions (4x4, studded tires vehicle)
- 5 days of ski touring activities with professional ski mountaineering guide in a small (maximum 6 participants) group
- aurora borealis chase with a local guide in minimum one of the 5 evenings
- 6 home made breakfasts & dinners (unlimited tea, coffee, hot chocolate, water included)
- afternoon home made or local snacks
- 6 overnight accommodation in twin room located in a typical Norwegian wooden house by the fjord shore, access to living room with a fireplace and fully equipped kitchen
- snowshoes rental for an afternoon walks along the fjord
- local resident & guide at your service whenever you need any additional info
NOT included:
- travel insurance covering ski touring in arctic part of Norway
- flight tickets from / to your home destination
- eventual additional non ski-touring excursions like dog sledging excursion, individual excursions around the island or tickets for a cable car to the panoramic terrace above Tromso
